Seasoned educator and pastor with bi-vocational careers in school system leadership, educational management, and staff positions in education at the New York City Department of Education –Community School District 4- - Executive/District Administrator, Community School District 15---Assistant Superintendent of Schools, at Lawrence Public Schools—Superintendent of Schools; and parish pastor in the Reformed Church in America, United Presbyterian Church in USA and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Dr. Laboy is the founder of the Latino Association of Administrators and Christian Educations, Inc. (LAACE) and serves as its Executive Director.
MARGARITA LABOY NEGRON
Director of Operations
Margarita is a teacher at heart with over three decades of service. She is a retired New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE) educator/administrator who has served as a certified bilingual educator at the first, second and third grade levels. She also has worked as a certified English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher, a diagnostic reading specialist and literacy coach. In 1992, Margarita was appointed by the NYCDOE to Public School 169K as an Elementary School Assistant Principal and during her tenure served as Acting Principal of the school. In her culminating assignment she worked as a Assistant Principal at The Pucketville Memorial Elementary School in Lowell, Massachusetts. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from Grand Valley State University, Masters of Science (M.S.) from Brooklyn College and a P.D.--Advanced Certificate/ Professional Diploma in Educational Leadership from New York City College.
